Art Therapy Workshops - Creative Healing Through Expression A 3-Hour Creative Workshop for Connection, Exploration and Self-Discovery There are parts of us that speak in colour, texture, shape, and symbol - parts that cannot always be expressed through words alone. When life feels overwhelming, disconnected, or emotionally heavy, creative expression becomes a gentle doorway back into ourselves. The Art Therapy Workshops at Nomad Counselling & Wellness offer a 3-hour guided experience where creativity meets emotional healing. These sessions invite you to pause, explore, connect with community, and express what your inner world has been quietly holding. No artistic skill is required - only curiosity and a willingness to let your hands speak for your heart. What Is Art Therapy? Art therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses creativity as a pathway into self-awareness, grounding, and emotional release. Through painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, symbol work, and other creative mediums, you can safely explore thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate. This process is not about producing “good art.” It’s about letting your inner experience take shape on the page - gently, freely, and without judgment. What You’ll Experience in the Workshop. Each 3-hour workshop includes: - a warm welcome and grounding exercise - guided creative exploration - optional prompts to support emotional expression - opportunities to reflect, share, or simply observe - a safe, inclusive community setting - a space to play, discover and reconnect with your inner creativity You will be supported throughout the process, with time at the end to debrief, integrate insights, and honour the emotional journey of your creation.
