For my fellow 'doers' struggling to be still. Learn how to be mindfully present while being active.
Service Description
Are you highly active? A 'doer'? Does the practice of sedentary mindfulness frustrate you to the point of giving up on practicing mindfulness? Many of us have not been taught the correct way of practicing mindfulness (i.e. present moment practice), having been told myths that you're either meant to be fully focused, in a quiet space, and/or totally still in body and mind. Impossible for most beginners, right? Especially in our fast-paced society. My passion lies with rewiring these fad myths about mindfulness practice, and help those 'doer' types (like me!) learn to achieve success with mindfulness practice while doing! I believe it's important to honour your temperament, while still learning skills to help balance the inner 'doer' in you in practical and achievable ways. Join me to learn active mindfulness practice by which you rewire the brain to learn to come back to stillness and being present...even while you're in the 'eye of the storm'. Book this 60-minute session with consent to 'come walk and do with me' during this unique Active Mindfulness Practice session and learn to return to the present every time your inner Doer takes you away. We take time at every session to debrief and process so that these learnings can be fully integrated into your natural day-to-day practice. As an experienced Animal Assisted Therapist, dogs are welcomed on scheduled mindfulness walks and you can learn how your best furry friend can help you ground and be present!
